Emily Moss Wilson

Originally from Louisiana, Emily moved to Los Angeles with a film production degree from TCU. She landed a job working at 20th Century Fox TV in comedy development where she spent two years learning the ins-and-outs of television development from pitch to script to pilot. Her next position at Fox was as a Feature Film Production Coordinator where she developed skills of scheduling, budgeting, coordinating location scouts and liaising with film commissions all over the world. Emily moved into the freelance world, jumping on board the summer blockbuster X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE as Assistant Visual Effects Coordinator followed by working alongside legendary writer/director Garry Marshall as Script Coordinator for his films VALENTINE’S DAY and NEW YEAR’S EVE. For the last five years, Emily has served as Creative Executive of the ATX Television Festival in Austin, TX where she has been in charge of programming, as well as conceptualizing and directing original video content with some of the biggest names in TV.

In addition to studio films, Emily has produced two award-winning short films with her Paper Crane Team,GRANDE DRIP and KNIGHT TO D7. Emily’s directorial debut, the Twilight Zone-inspired thriller DRINK, premiered at the 2014 Dances With Films Festival in Hollywood to rave reviews. The film has received over 200,000 views on YouTube and counting!

Emily has shadowed several notable TV directors including Allison Liddi-Brown on ABC’s SCANDAL and Joel Zwick on Disney’s GIRL MEETS WORLD. Emily is set to direct the indie feature film INHERITANCE next year and is currently writing several projects, including a television series inspired by her short film, DRINK. Emily just wrapped a Broadcast PSA with actress Kerry Washington (SCANDAL) that premiered at New York Fashion Week. She currently works on the upcoming NBC show HEARTBREAKER starring Melissa George and was just named one of nine emerging directors chosen for the inaugural WeForShe DirectHer Program.
