  • We had a blast seeing everyone out today for #ArtsGoggle at our soon to be new building @main_broad_fw + pumped to have such cool neighbors: @arcadia.coffee @gypsyscoops @cocoshrimp
  • We hope you were able to find a sense of hope and community through our efforts to share our experiences with #mymindreality. The only way we will find solutions to the suffering is through these things – community, hope, and compassion. We encourage you to not only begin difficult conversations around mental illness –be it your own or someone you love - but to take action, too.

Now that we’ve shared our stories with you, it’s your turn to let yours be heard. Repost this image on your page using the hashtag #mymindreality and share your personal mental health journey. By doing this, you will not only be entered to win two tickets to the premier of the short film at The Grand Berry Theater @thegrandberrytheaterftw in The Foundry District, but you also never know who you may help by sharing your story. It will take all of us to build the bridge.

  • We couldn’t begin this important initiative without the help of our lead sponsors.  Collectively, they have donated $27,000 to the initiative!  We still have $13,000 to go, so please give to our Kickstarter.
Consider their whys below – collectively, we all want there to be answers for generations to come! “We need to be educated about mental health. We want to support and guide our loved ones in need. This can be a SCARY illness!  Please join me in supporting this much needed project!” – Sandra McGlothlin, Co-Founder, Empire Roofing "With nearly 1 and 5 American's facing a mental health issue in a given calendar year, it's only a matter of time before this hits very close to home. Our belief is that now is the time to invest in the cure(s), so we may have promise for our, our children's, and our grand children's futures" -Garett G. Essl and Lance T. Carter, Owners, CG Northern “The ripples of mental illness travel a long way!  The one with the illness is not the only one affected by it. Support is not only required for them, it is also needed for those closest to them.” –Richard and Susan Miller, Owners, R & S Miller Family LP “We want to see the day when people and their families have answers to these invisible diseases and we won’t let up until that happens.” – Susan Gruppi and Jessica Miller, Owners, M2G Ventures “Our mental health informs how we experience the world around us and how we feel. I want my family, who lives with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, to experience the world as safe and to feel seen, loved, and valued. I am committed to ongoing mental health research, so my family and others can live a life they love and experience the beauty of who they are. “ – Owner, Faith Geiger, Collective Growth Designs

  • "Being able to use the immersive medium of film to give audiences a glimpse into what it feels like to struggle with a mental health issue is quite exciting for our team. We're thrilled to be producing this with @Rambo and helping bring her vision to the screen which will undoubtedly make a real and meaningful impact in the lives of others.” -Red Sanders, Red Productions

  • “Mental illness is a very real thing in our country.  Society continually pushes what is different to its edges, but I am one of those people. I am inspired to make a film to improve the conversation of the mind and help progress the vocabulary surrounding a literally invisible struggle. we can get some real help and encouragement to the mentally ill community, but it will start with understanding our realities, not always requiring us to change drastically first. It may be wild in our minds, but I hope we help people realize even wilderness has a place.” -Rambo

Helpless. That is the only way to describe how you feel when you see someone you love struggling with a disease with no definite cure. Our family has been rocked by the destruction of mental illness. Last year, someone very important to us lost their life after a three year battle with Bipolar Disorder. We saw the shame he felt at times to ask for help and the despair in his voice every time a new treatment would not work. It is gut wrenching watching someone be tortured by their own brain, which in turn tortures the people closest to them.
We wanted to help create this artistic short that attempts to show the struggle of this reality for so many. The struggle for the person and for the people around them. We hope this film will bring awareness to supporting those and their families who struggle and that they will be a catalyst for our work raising awareness and funds toward mental health research & services.
We will use this film to kick off M2G’s initiative to raise $500,000 over the next 3 years to fund mental health research for Bipolar Disorder and other mental illnesses, systems and services change and desperately needed awareness projects. The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation in Dallas will be the beneficiary of our first round of funding. -M2G Ventures
