FORT WORTH, Texas (March 24, 2015) — Fort Worth-based film and video production company, Red Productions, held its 10-year anniversary celebration at its studio, located at 1075 Foch St., Thursday, March 19, for a gathering of over 200 clients, supporters and friends.

The company launched in 2005 at TECH Fort Worth, a nonprofit organization that has been helping locally based entrepreneurs launch and grow emerging technology companies since 1998. In 2008, after growing to four full-time employees and with early clients like Coca-Cola, TCU and the Dallas Cowboys, president and owner Red Sanders became the first graduate of TECH Fort Worth’s Acceleration Program and one of the first tenants of the now highly popular West 7th neighborhood—which was then primarily an industrial complex.

“As the area has thrived over the past seven years, our company has also seen remarkable growth,” says Sanders. “We are fortunate to have planted roots in a vibrant city that supports high-caliber creative work, and we’ve steadily grown our client relationships, team and revenue by consistently challenging ourselves to tell stories in new and innovative ways.”

According to Sanders, recent work with clients like Red Bull and next door neighbor iProspect continues to prove that his company has real staying power, attributing the rise of online video as a primary driver of success.

The company’s contributions to the local business community have not gone unnoticed. In 2013, Red Productions was the winner of the Small Business of the Year award by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Sanders is also a past recipient of TCU’s Young Alumni award and was named one of the Fort Worth Business Press’ 40 Under 40 in 2007.

With the release of two award-winning feature films and a recent world premiere of a short film at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival, developing the film community in Fort Worth and across Texas is a growing focus for the company.

SEARCHING FOR SONNY and INTRAMURAL are feature-length comedy films directed by Fort Worth native Andrew Disney and filmed in Texas. INTRAMURAL will be released by a major Hollywood studio later this year in select theaters. “Melville,” a narrative short film shot entirely in Fort Worth, was written and directed by James Johnston, another talented Fort Worthian. “Melville” premiered to a sold-out audience at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival and will play April 9-10 at the Dallas International Film Festival.

“In October 2014, we opened an office in Los Angeles to grow our slate of film and TV projects that we can hopefully bring back to Texas to shoot,” says Sanders. “Our next feature film project is called KING OF NORTH DAKOTA, which we hope to shoot here in the city that has been so good to us over the years.”
