Austin Film Society Grant Workshop, May 13

Join us Tuesday, May 13 for for a grant workshop co-presented the Austin Film Society and Lone Star Film Society. The event is free, and provides a unique opportunity for area filmmakers to discover potential funding for their dream project.

Since 1996, the Austin Film Society Grant has provided over $1.5 million to more than 385 projects. Grants include awards for production, post-production and distribution, and the AFS Travel Grant provides stipends to Texas filmmakers traveling to prestigious festivals. Past recipients of the AFS Grant include Kat Candler for HELLION and BLACK METAL, and Yen Tan for PIT STOP.

Grant recipients have shown their films at such festivals as the Toronto International Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Rotterdam, Sundance, SXSW and Cannes.

The 2014 AFS Grant Writing Workshop is free of charge. During the workshop, AFS representatives will review the application and answer questions about applying for funding. You can register on the Event Website.
