VP, Film/TV Development Heather Wilk

Heather is passionate about storytelling and has developed IP’s from books, articles, and scripts. She’s worked with top producers that span the tv, film, and theater industries. Additionally, she has even sold a few of her own original screenplays.

When Heather isn’t reading or writing, she is growing Straight But Not Narrow, a non-profit she co-founded in 2011 that develops innovative campaigns to train and prepare straight allies to be supporters and friends to their LGBT friends, family, and classmates. SBNN’s largest initiative refurbishes unused and broken devices and places them in the hands of homeless and LGBT homeless youth in 19 states across the country. Since it’s founding has been able to provide hundreds of LGBTQ homeless youth with cell phones and laptops.

Her ability to combine social impact and entertainment mediums were one of the reasons why her projects were named one of the “100 Reasons to Love Hollywood” by E! Network and a “Top 50 Reason’s” to have pride by the Advocate, and most recently she landed the “coveted” cover of the Jewish Journal’s annual Mensch List.
