Our close-knit Team of nineteen works with a creative partner pool of directors, writers, cinematographers, and other bright creatives–allowing us to provide our Clients with a customized team to fit their unique needs. The right candidate for this role will know how to make these capabilities the perfect solutions for our Clients.

The Account Director will assist the VP of Accounts with the day-to-day management of the department. They will work closely with the Production team to ensure excellent Client service across all projects. They will also lead new business efforts by growing existing accounts and obtaining new Clients to guarantee the company meets its revenue goals. The ideal candidate will be an impatient self-starter, someone who not only responds to, but also anticipates the needs of our producers and Clients.

Red Productions has all the trappings of a 21st century creative office: dogs, a keg, fun music streaming for most of the day and open workspaces. We also have quiet areas to dig in and focus. This is a full time role located at our studio in Fort Worth with around ten percent travel. 

Responsibilities/Expectations

·   Participate in new business development: write compelling proposals, develop budgets, and support creative team in brainstorming

·   Seek out new business opportunities with new and existing clients and play a supportive role in their development.

·   Act as the main point of contact for Clients on projects.

·   Manage, support, and grow Client relationships.

·   Utilize CRM (Hubspot) to consistently track communication and maximize client opportunities.

·   Support Producers with Client service and Client communications

·   Review all major deliverables w/ Producer and Creative Director (estimates, creative concepts, proposals, rough cuts, etc) to ensure we are being a Client advocate, and that objectives remain in focus and quality standards are met or exceeded

·   Gain a clear understanding of Company capabilities and become conversant on a range of new media and video production topics

·   Attend Client meetings and write creative briefs that translate Client needs into well-structured strategies that lay the groundwork for the production team

·   Maintain timelines in project management software, and handle communications regarding project status and reporting

·   Lead Client contract negotiations.

·   Prepare month-end overviews of Client’s current activities, and monthly revenue forecasts, plus plans for future development of accounts.

·   Ensure overall account revenues meet agency goals.

·   Represent and promote RP at industry functions.

·   Seek out new business opportunities with new and existing clients and play a supportive role in their development.

·   Oversee A/R and make sure invoices are paid in a timely manner.

·   MINIMUM 4 years of account management experience in a creative industry REQUIRED

·   Ability and motivation to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction

·   Must possess team-building skills and mentoring abilities.

·   Strong verbal and written communications skills; a capability for analytical thinking; a sense of entrepreneurship; dynamic presentation skills; personal organization; and interpersonal skills.
